The meeting point of Colloid and Interface Science community
The annual ECIS Conference is a major event for this community and this is the 32nd Conference of a series of successful meetings, whose primary goal is to bring together all major disciplines of colloids and interfaces, enabling participants to exchange knowledge, communicate each other the results of their recent research, and to network with colleagues for new collaborations.
Fundamentals and advanced topics
Topics will cover fundamental and applied advances in the fields of interfaces, dispersed systems, wetting, complex fluids, micro-and nano-engineered materials, nanoparticles, ion specific effects, self-assembly of surfactants, polymers and proteins, and advances in theory and instrumentation. Plenary lectures will be given by the laureates of the Overbeek 2018 and Solvay 2018 Prizes and by four other eminent speakers. Furthermore, ECIS seeks to encourage the participation of young researchers and PhD students with awards dedicated to them for best oral and poster presentations.

We are happy to announce a pre-conference ECIS Training Course “Using thermodynamics in characterization: From colloids and self-assembled systems to biological macromolecules.” to be held on 31st August and 1st September 2018 at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana.
